(Gramado).- The Hard Rock Hotel Gramado will be built on an area of 143 thousand m². The project is the responsibility of the company Mundo Planalto in partnership with JFG, Argon, Toctao and Grupo Feltrin.

The city of Gramado, in Rio Grande do Sul, will have the largest resort from the North American Hard Rock hotel chain in Brazil. The Hard Rock Hotel Gramado is scheduled to open in 2027. It will have 858 apartments, 5 restaurants, spa, shopping mall and event space. The estimated investment is R$1 billion. The Hard Rock Hotel Gramado will be built on an area of 143 thousand m².
“Our contract is for a license to use the brand and hotel management. We still don't have casino permission in Brazil and, therefore, we haven't negotiated this in the contract, but the hotel was designed to be an integrated resort and has space, structure and capacity. Furthermore, the brand is among the largest in the world in casinos,” said José Roberto Nunes to Giane Guerra's column in Gazeta Zero Hora.
Last month, the global CEO of Hard Rock Café, Jim Allen, visited the Minister of Tourism, Celso Sabino, and spoke of the interest in setting up casinos in Brazil.
Sabino stated at the time that, if Congress releases the casinos, Jim Allen wants to install other units in Brazil managed by the headquarters itself.
“The project of resorts integrated with casinos, without a doubt, will provide even greater interest among large chains,” he stated.
The CEO of Hark Rock also visited the governor of São Paulo, Tarcísio de Freitas. In a closed-door meeting, they discussed the possibility of installing a chain resort in São Paulo.
Allen went on to say that the hotel's installation in the capital of São Paulo “is imminent” and could be Hard Rock's largest hotel unit in Latin America. The governor of São Paulo reportedly said that the size of the project would be “emblematic.”
